I have been welding with horseshoes and came up with these pumpkins. Kinda cool huh?

Country decorations - horse shoes

Wash and scrub the horseshoes. I got them out in a field so they were full of stuff. Hammer out all the nails.
If you put the jute around just wind it over the end and glue the other end in the back. Add beads to wire and twist it around the horseshoe.

solar lights in posts

Take an old railroad tie and cut it different lengths.
Drill holes in the center. We measured how deep we wanted them to go.
Put the solar lights in. We added sand around the post in the hole to keep them from tilting.
Place them around the yard to add light where you need it.

baby quilt from ties

Get a bunch of old ties. I used my brothers to make a quilt for his little girl.
Open the ties up and cut them with a backing the size you want your squares.
Lay the squares out the way you want them.
Add the strips of cloth between the tie squares to get rows of squares.
Connect the rows of squares with more strips of cloth.
 Add a border.

Get some material for the back and sew them together and add an edge around the quilt.

Birdfeeder

Start with a used water bottle.
Drill some holes for the birdseed to come out.
Drill a hole to attach to a plate for the birdseed.
Drill a hole in the plate to attach to water bottle.

Attach bottle to plate and attach hanger.
Fill with birdseed and watch the birds eat.

This is a picture from Wisconsin that John took when we went on a walk at Bob & Laurine's house.

transforming bowling balls

So I start with bowling balls from Goodwill or ARC or garage sales.
I sand them to get all the oil off and make them rough.
 I paint a primer on.
